We are pleased to share last week’s Spanish court results.

M1 Legal secured six successful outcomes, with a total of £95,827 awarded.

First Court of Instance

Club La Costa – Our legal team reported four wins for our clients. In each case, the Club La Costa contract was declared null due to a lack of key information, including details of the property and when it could be used. Total awarded: £65,738.

Appeals

We also secured appeal wins against Club La Costa and Anfi. In both cases, the judge ruled in our favour and awarded court costs. In addition, the Club La Costa matter is already being submitted as a creditor claim in Club La Costa’s liquidation proceedings. Total value of these cases: £30,089.

4 jurisdiction victories valued at £81,598

M1 Legal secured four jurisdiction wins last week, all against Club La Costa. The defence challenged whether the claims could be heard in the Spanish courts. Three wins were at the initial jurisdiction hearing, and one was a jurisdiction victory on appeal. All cases will now proceed to the next step.
