This week, our experienced team of lawyers secured a series of strong court results, with judges awarding a total of £112,592 to our clients.
Club La Costa were defeated in eight separate cases. In each case, the Club La Costa timeshare contracts were found not to include the accommodation information required by law — such as what the clients own and when they are entitled to use their timeshare. The courts also found that the contract term exceeded 50 years, which is beyond the legal limit under Spanish timeshare law. On each claim, the judges upheld our clients’ cases in full, including costs.

Diamond Resorts were also defeated. Their contract was found to be missing similar legally required details, as in the Club La Costa cases.
Alongside these claims, our legal team also argued appeals. We won four separate cases against Club La Costa Sucursal after they requested that their matters should not be heard in the Spanish courts. The judge ruled in our favour, accepting the points we raised, meaning Club La Costa will have to face these cases under Spanish law.
The second week of the year has brought another set of successful outcomes for M1 Legal. Our legal team, together with our clients, are pleased with the results.
