Celebrations and new beginnings

The Earth has completed another 585 million-mile journey around the sun, bringing four more seasons, another birthday each, and a new year’s worth of memories. As the old year gives way to the new, many of us come together with friends and family to celebrate fresh starts and second chances.

For plenty of people, the New Year is also a moment to commit to positive change and self-improvement.

In good spirits, we make bold resolutions with those we love, aiming to better ourselves and the lives of the people around us.

2023 results and a 2024 update for TAC

2023 was a strongly positive year for timeshare victims. Timeshare Advice Centre's legal partners successfully secured well over £4.5 million in compensation awards for clients who were mis-sold the product.

Over 340 more people were freed from burdensome ownerships by our Relinquishment Team.

And while 2023 delivered, 2024 is shaping up to be even busier. Timeshare Advice Center US and American Consumer Claims have been warmly welcomed by a US market looking for trustworthy relinquishment options. Our activity is continuing to build across the pond.

Several long-term actions against major timeshare operations in Europe are also progressing into the new year, which should result in significant award payouts for our clients.

Hope for the year ahead

Amid the celebrations with loved ones, it’s natural to look ahead with hope. Will 2024 bring economic recovery? Could it bring an end to the war in Ukraine?

Will COVID gradually fade? Will the manned Artemis spacecraft successfully orbit the moon in preparation for human lunar landings in 2025?

And will there be an avalanche of female proposals on 29 February?

None of us can know what the year will bring, but hope and aspiration keep us moving forwards. On 1 January, we project our biggest wishes into the months ahead—only for reality to layer over them as the year unfolds.
