For many timeshare owners, the idea of starting a compensation claim can raise a lot of questions:

Do I qualify? Was I genuinely mis-sold, or am I being unreasonable in seeking compensation? Am I making a fuss over nothing? If a timeshare company broke certain rules, does it actually matter? Is the process complicated? How long does it usually take? What are the costs? How can I avoid scams? And which firms have the right experience?

As these are common concerns for people considering a timeshare compensation claim, we spoke to a recent European Consumer Claims (ECC) client to explain what the process was like in real terms.

In the video interview below, Andrew Rees shares his experience of making a claim, what he found most challenging, and what helped him feel confident about taking the next step.
