Are you going to pay timeshare maintenance fees for 2021 if your resort was closed?

If you’ve paid your 2020 timeshare maintenance fees but were unable to use your resort, it’s natural to ask: will you pay your 2021 maintenance fees as well?

To our knowledge, not a single resort has offered a maintenance fee refund. Some have offered credit notes towards a future holiday, but that may not solve the problem. With owners looking to rebook missed 2020 stays as well as 2021 holidays, availability could be even harder to secure over the next 12 months.

As a consumer, you should be entitled to a refund where the service you have paid for cannot be provided.

The Timeshare Consumer Association (TCA) has launched a campaign to gather vital information from timeshare owners, to better understand the maintenance fee situation and support efforts to seek refunds for those affected. Hundreds of surveys have already been submitted.

  • DID YOU PAY YOUR MAINTENANCE FEES FOR 2020?
  • HAVE YOU MISSED OUT ON USING YOUR TIMESHARE THIS YEAR?
  • WOULD YOU LIKE TO FIND OUT WHETHER YOU COULD GET THESE FEES BACK?

If the answer is YES, we strongly encourage you to complete the survey.
