From 2020 to 2021: timeshare court victories, £242,490 awarded vs CLC and others
As we closed out 2020 and moved into early 2021, we recorded a number of timeshare court victories and have several results to share.
Seven favourable substantive judgments were secured against Club La Costa under the contractual names Paradise Trading, Continental Resorts and Sucursal. Across these cases, a total of £164,230 was awarded.
Over the same period, we also obtained favourable outcomes in cases against Silverpoint, Diamond Resorts and Tasolán. Combined, these three cases resulted in £78,260 awarded.
Our legal team has also been active on jurisdiction decisions. In the past fortnight alone, we received 11 favourable jurisdiction judgments.
Breaking these down: one was against Silverpoint SL, two were against Diamond Resorts, and the remaining eight were against CLC. The contractual names for the Club La Costa cases were CLC Sucursal and CLC Continental, with one CLC matter also involving Hitachi Capital PLC.
