Substantial double victory against Silverpoint as Arona court nullifies contracts (£77,633)
A significant double victory for M1 Legal against Silverpoint Vacations saw two separate awards of just under £40,000 each.
Both cases were heard at the Arona court in Tenerife. In each matter, Silverpoint Vacations had issued an unlawful timeshare contract. It quickly became clear that the agreements failed to set out the minimum accommodation requirements required by law, including clear details of what was being purchased and when the timeshare could be used.
M1 Legal supported both clients through the Spanish legal process and pursued reimbursement. The judge ruled that both Silverpoint timeshare contracts should be nullified and ordered payments totalling £77,633 across the two clients.
A strong result heading into the festive season.
