RCI points Majexo S.L contract under scrutiny: Arona court declares it null and void, £16,900 award

Outdoor resort swimming pool with palm trees, sun loungers and clear blue sky in Tenerife

The judge at Court 2 in Arona, Tenerife, heard the case against Majexo S.L.

The clients originally signed their agreement under the contractual name B.I.C leisure, which was later changed to Majexo S.L.

During the hearing, it emerged that the RCI points contract did not meet the minimum legal requirements in Spain. The agreement failed to include a proper property description, including the building and location, the specific accommodation, and a reference to the Land Registry. The contract also did not state an end date, which is not permitted under Spanish timeshare law.

Following close scrutiny, the judge declared the contract null and void and ordered Majexo S.L. to pay the client £16,900.

Another positive result for M1 Legal.
